[origin: WO9927119A1] Compositions and method for inducing expression of a desired DNA sequence in a stable transformed plant expressing a hybrid transcription factor, comprising a fusion of the DNA-binding domain and a transcription activation domain, which is an effector of expression of the desired DNA sequences controlled by a synthetic promoter, said synthetic promoter preferably comprising concatemeric copies of the cis-acting site recognized by DNA-binding domain of the hybrid transcription factor, fused to a promoter.
