[origin: WO9928570A1] The invention relates to a connector piece for connecting threaded steel ends (10, 12). The inventive connector piece has at least one or preferably two connecting segments (20, 22) extending in a longitudinal direction and respectively provided with an abutment (30, 32) perpendicular to said segments. Each abutment has an oblong hole (40, 42) which is open on one side. The connector piece can be embodied as a longitudinal hollow cube-shaped part. The furthermost front faces of the connector piece define the abutments (30, 32) and at least one or preferably two lateral surfaces connecting the abutments (30, 32) define the connecting segments (20, 22).
