[origin: WO9928882A1] A device is disclosed for transmitting an emergency call by means of an emergency call system which transmits an emergency call when it receives a triggering signal. A mobile emergency call transmitter transmits a triggering signal to the emergency call system upon a command by the user. At least one monitoring device is connected to at least one sensor for monitoring the state of the user. The monitoring device has means for transmitting a triggering signal to the emergency call system when inadmissible situations are detected.
