Abstract (en)
The tool has a flexible blade (1) with a cutting edge (2) which is set across the direction (3) of relative travel of the ski being shaped. The blade is set at an angle of under 90 degrees to the ski surface and a pressure is applied to its two ends so that its cutting edge follows the convex curvature of the ski. When the tool is in use the surface of the ski is pre-heated in advance of the blade to soften the surface (4) of the the surplus material while maintaining a satisfactory cohesion between the over-moulded layer and the adjacent material beneath it.

Le dispositif selon l'invention comprend un outil de coupe (1), par exemple sous forme d'une lame élastiquement flexible dont l'arête de coupe (2) est tenue en appui sur la surface (4) d'un ski ou d'une planche à neige (5). La lame (1) est inclinée, de telle sorte que la force de réaction mécanique exercée par la surface (4) à traiter provoque sa flexion élastique vers et à l'écart de la surface (4) de ski, pour suivre le profil convexe éventuel de la surface (4) à traiter. On peut ainsi traiter des surfaces bombées telles que des surfaces (4) de ski ou de planche à neige (5), sans risque d'engagement de l'outil de coupe (1) dans la matière de base du ski ou de la planche à neige (5). <IMAGE>
