Abstract (en)
Bismuth salt (I) that is derived from a linear, branched or cyclic aliphatic di-, tri- or polycarboxylic acid containing 2-60 carbon (C) atoms and has free carboxy groups available for alkali metal, ammonium or amine salt formation is used as an anticorrosion and bactericidal additive for metalworking fluids. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) A metalworking fluid containing (I). (2) A metalworking fluid containing a bismuth salt of a linear, branched or cyclic aliphatic di-, tri- or polycarboxylic acid containing 15-40 C atoms.

Es wird ein Additiv für einen Kühlschmierstoff beschrieben, das aus einem Wismutsalz einer linearen, verzweigten oder alicyclischen Di-, Tri- oder Polycarbonsäure besteht, die 2 bis 60 Kohlenstoffatome umfaßt und noch freie Carboxylgruppen zur Bildung von Alkali-, Ammonium- oder Aminsalzen aufweist. Als Additiv kann auch ein Wismutsalz eingesetzt werden, bei dem ein oder zwei der Reste der linearen, verzweigten oder alicyclischen Di-, Tri- oder Polycarbonsäure durch den Rest einer linearen oder verzweigten Monocarbonsäure mit 2 bis 40 Kohlenstoffatomen ersetzt sind. Die genannten Additive können allein oder im Gemisch mit Mineralölen, Esterölen und/oder anderen synthetischen Schmiermitteln und üblichen Zusatzstoffen zur Herstellung eines antikorrosiven und bakteriziden Kühlschmierstoffes eingesetzt werden.
