Abstract (en)
An electrostatic image developing toner to be used for an image forming method wherein in an electrophotographic process of forming an electrostatic latent image on a photoreceptor made of an inorganic or organic material, developing it with a toner, transferring it to a paper sheet, a plastic film or the like, and fixing it to form a visible image, the toner remaining on the photoreceptor after the transfer, is recovered, and the recovered toner is reused in the development process, said electrostatic image developing toner comprising at least a binder resin, a colorant and a charge control agent, wherein the charge control agent is represented by the following formula (1): <CHEM> wherein R1 is quaternary carbon, methine or methylene and may contain a hetero atom of N, S, O or P, each of R2 and R3 which are independent of each other, is an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryl, aryloxy, aralkyl or aralkyloxy group which may have a substituent, a halogen atom, a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group, an amino group which may have a substituent, a carboxyl group, a carbonyl group, a nitro group, a nitroso group, a sulfonyl group or a cyano group. R4 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, 1 is an integer of from 0 to 12, m is an integer of from 1 to 20, n is an integer of from 0 to 20, o is an integer of from 0 to 4, p is an integer of from 0 to 4, r is an integer of from 1 to 20, and s is an integer of from 0 to 20.
