[origin: FR2770390A1] The invention concerns a device and a method for determining physiological data, using: at least one sensor placed in contact with a subject's skin, reacting in particular to variations in the subject's instantaneous blood pressure, and delivering a signal (151) representing said instantaneous blood pressure; and means (19) for processing and analysing said signal representing the instantaneous blood pressure, delivering at least a physiological information (192); said sensor comprising at least an optical fibre portion (11) subjected to deformations based in particular on said variations in the instantaneous blood pressure, a source of light (14) being disposed at one first end (111) of said optical fibre portion (11), and a photodiode (15) being disposed at the second end (112) of said optical fibre portion (11), and powering both said processing and analysing means (19).
