[origin: DE19749121A1] The invention relates to an improved method for producing a coated sheet of plastic film, especially a sheet of film produced by transitional or longitudinal stretching or a simultaneous stretching process, characterised especially in that the plastic film (5) is coated with a different coating material and/or a different coating thickness in at least two areas or zones (19) which are offset crosswise to the longitudinal or discharge direction of the plastic film (5). The plastic film (5) is divided into longitudinal strips (35) according to the different coating treatment and the longitudinal strips (35) are conveyed to winders (31.1-31.4). A corresponding device has at least one coating device (15) and a cutting device (23).
