Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0922767A1] The invention relates to a nucleic acid molecule, called &lang&&lang& ribozyme &rang&&rang&, having endoribonuclease activity, comprising at least one hybridising region and at least one catalytic region, said hybridising region being complementary to one or more target regions of the genomic (+) RNA of a potyvirus, and/or to one or more target regions of the replicative (-) strand RNA of a potyvirus, with the proviso that the said target region does not consist of the GUC triplet located at position 8122-8124 of the PVYn strain or the equivalent triplet of other potyviruses.
