[origin: WO9929003A1] An enclosure for use in an optical fibre network comprises a hollow body which includes a bottom portion which is split into upper and lower half-shells (50, 60) which define a plurality of radiating passages communicating with the interior of the hollow body: the lower half-shell (60) can be removed and the two half-shells then embraced about an existing cable duct. The upper half-shell may be integral with the body part (10). The enclosure may be made in one-piece by rotational moulding, then severed to form the body part (10), lid (20) and optionally a separate bottom part.
