[origin: EP1036605A1] Roll chock friction regulating equipment, comprises pressure plates (PL) mounted in stand windows (SF) for movement perpendicular to the chock seating faces (AF1, AF2). Equipment, for regulating frictional forces between the guide faces and seating faces of roll chocks guided in rolling mill stand windows, comprises rear pressure-loaded flat support plates (PL) which bear the guide faces (FF1, FF2) and which are mounted in the stand windows (SF) for movement perpendicular to the guide faces (FF1, FF2) and seating faces (AF1, AF2).
