[origin: EP1036793A2] A compound represented by the formula (1) which is useful as an agricultural fungicide or an intermediate thereof can be obtained by reacting a compound of the general formula (2) with a compound of the general formula (3) in the presence of an acid and reducing the resulted reaction mixture. <CHEM> wherein, each of R<1> to R<4> and R<1a> to R<4a> independently represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, and R represents an alkyl group, alkoxy group, phenyl group or 5-membered or 6-membered heterocyclic group.
