[origin: EP1037242A2] The thermic release device has a thermmechanical transducer, e.g. a thermobimetallic element (11), attached to a wire filament electrical conductor (35) extending between a stationary terminal contact (20) and the stationary or movable contact piece (30) of a switch contact set, with respective welding points (27,28,29) for connecting the wire filament electrical conductor to the terminal contact, the thermobimetallic element and the contact piece.
