[origin: EP1037325A2] The connector has a cable guide sleeve (10) with a plug-side section (11) for mechanically connecting to the cable-side end of the connector (100), and with a cable-side section (12) which is radially compressible and has at least one region on the inside of reduced inside diameter (14a,14b). A locking piece (20) is provided on the cable-side section of the cable guide sleeve and is movable between an unlocked position and a locked position in which it radially compresses the cable-side section of the cable guide sleeve until it presses the region of reduced inside diameter into the sheath of the cable.
