The connector has a cylindrical metal housing (1) with axial contact pins (8,9). A locking mechanism (6,7) and a contact receptacle (5) are arranged coaxially with the contact pins. The contact receptacle protrudes beyond the open end of the housing and is rotatable about the longitudinal axis of the housing. The contact receptacle is permanently in electrical contact with the metal housing.

Steckverbinder mit einem hohlzylindrischen, metallischen Gehäuse (1), in welchem zentrisch ein sich über mindestens annähernd die gesamte axiale Länge des Gehäuses (1) erstreckender Innenkontaktstift (8, 9, 10) angeordnet ist, und dieser Innenkontaktstift (8, 9, 10) an einer ersten offenen, zur Steckseite des Steckverbinders hin offenen Stirnseite des Gehäuses (1) zur Kontaktierung mit einem Gegensteckverbinder zugänglich ist, wobei koaxial zum Innenkontaktstift (8, 9, 10) ein Rastgesperre (6, 7) und ein aus der offenen Stirnseite des Gehäuses (1) ragender sowie drehbar um die Längsachse des Gehäuses (1) gelagerter Kontaktkorb (5) angeordnet ist, wobei der Kontaktkorb (5) dauerhaft mit dem metallischen Gehäuse in elektrischem Kontakt steht. <IMAGE>
