[origin: FR2772063A1] The invention concerns a device for closing a vehicle lateral sliding door (10) rear edge comprising a pin (20) projecting from the door (10) rear edge, a shaft (32) mounted mobile in rotation in the side wall (12, 12b) close to the door frame (16) being arranged parallel but offset relative to the pin (10) axis when the door is in closed position, said shaft bearing, close to the pin, a substantially perpendicular finger (30). Said device further comprises a connecting rod (50) connected to an oscillating arm (40) integral with the shaft (32) and to a rotating arm (60) driven by a gear motor (70) such that the shaft (32) is driven in reciprocating rotation from an inoperative position wherein the finger (30) is outside the pin (20) travel path, such that, in the first direction, the finger (30) is urged to catch the pin (20) to pull the door (10) in its frame (16), then in the opposite direction such that the finger (30) returns in inoperative position. Finally the device comprises means for detecting the door coming close to the frame, said detection means triggering a rotation cycle of the gear motor (70).
