[origin: WO9930222A1] An input device for inputting key functions sequentially into an apparatus comprises a prediction module for predicting at least one most likely key function to be input next, at least one first key for inputting the key functions, a control module for controlling the function and labelling of the first keys in response to the prediction module to enable a user to use the first keys to input next the or each predicted most likely key functions, and second keys provided as an array arranged separately from an independent of the first keys and capable of inputting any of the key functions.
