The device has a support (11) that is fastened to a wall element (13) using a fastening unit (12). The edge area of the fastening unit surrounds the partition on both sides with a wedge holder (14) and a wedge part (24). The wedge holder and the wedge part are braced using screws (30) arranged opposite each other. The screws do not penetrate the wall element.

Durch die Erfindung kann eine Duscheinrichtung mit einer Stütze (11) geschaffen werden, an der mittels einer Befestigungseinrichtung (12) ein flaches Wandungselement (13) befestigt ist. Die Befestigungseinrichtung schließt das Wandungselement (13) in dessen Randbereich an beiden Seiten mit einer Keilaufnahme (14) und einem Keil (24) ein. Dabei sind Keilaufnahme (14) und Keil (24) durch Spannmittel (30), die das Wandungselement (13) nicht durchgreifen, gegeneinander verspannbar. Der Keil (24) ist bevorzugt spitzwinklig ausgebildet. Keil (24) und Keilaufnahme (14) können relativ kurz sein oder lange Profile sein. Insbesondere ist es möglich, die Keilaufnahme (14) selber als Stütze (11), beispielsweise als tragende Säule einer Duscheinrichtung auszubilden. <IMAGE>
