Abstract (en)
An optical printer head including a plurality of light sources (1,2) which is capable of providing a distinct image free of colour shade and colour fading. ion-like lights different in luminous colour emitted from a plurality of fluorescent luminous tubes (1,2) acting as the light sources are guided to a common equi-magnification image formation element (12) using a dichroic optical element (10), so that they are superposed on each other on a record medium (7) while being kept aligned with each other, resulting in an image being formed on the record medium (7). The optical members (1,2) are so arranged that optical path lengths of the dot-like lights different in luminous colour may be rendered substantially equal to each other. <IMAGE>
