Abstract (en)

[origin: DE19912534C1] In the application of closure caps to bottles, each closure cap (8) is provided with a recess and/or incision. This enables the opening and/or decorative part of the bottle closure to be placed outside the closure cap material. A continuously running bottle transport belt (12) works in conjunction with an input worm shaft, which rotates synchronously with the closure cap machine and brakes incoming bottles (1), spacing them onto an input star formation (14). The input star formation rotates synchronously with the input worm shaft and a machine carousel. It takes over bottles from the worm shaft and feeds them via a guide piece (16) to the carousel. A closure cap magazine (18) accommodates interposed closure caps (8), which are transported to a cap separation device (20) and from there to an accommodation bowl (22). From the bowl, they are moved directly to the bottles. A cutting tool (27) in combination with a accommodation cone (23) produces the necessary incisions and/or recesses. The closure caps are then moved to a raised application head (25) which fits them on the bottles.
