[origin: EP1039127A2] The axial piston engine has a swash plate (9) and a spring element (27), which generates a torque (M2) acting on the swash plate in a direction opposite to a first torque (M1) generated by a piston force (Kr). The second torque acts on the swash plate when it is in its max. and min. volume pivot positions. The spring is positioned relative to the pivot axis (24) on the side of the piston engine (1), to which the resulting piston force is offset. The spring is a pressure spring esp. a spiral coiled spring, and its force is adjusted by an adjusting device (39) with adjusting screw (41).
