The steam power plant incorporates a turbo-group (1), a condenser (7) connected laterally to the turbo-group via a condenser throat (6) and main cooling water conduits leading to and from the condenser. The condenser with its inlet and outlet (8,9) for the main cooling water is arranged in an extension (4) of a machine housing (3). The center line of the condenser is located beneath that of the turbines. The condenser throat has a gradient in the direction of the condenser.

Ein herkömmliches Dampfkraftwerk besitzt eine Turbogruppe (1), einen über einen Kondensatorhals (7) mit der Turbogruppe verbundenen Kondensator (7) und dem Kondensator zugeordneten Hauptkühlwasserleitungen. Da sich der Kondensator, der Kondensatorhals und die Hauptkühlwasserleitungen innerhalb des Maschinenhauses befinden, ist ein Maschinenhaus (3) in großer Höhe und Breite erforderlich. Zur Reduzierung des Bauvolumens ist der Kondensator (7) seitlich neben der Turbogruppe (1) in einem Anbau (4) angeordnet. <IMAGE>
