Abstract (en)
Cleaning of cine films which have been subtitled by laser etching, by impinging a jet of moist air onto the emulsion immediately after the etching procedure. Procedure for subtitling cinematographic films comprises etching graphical elements or text onto polyester or other film by means of a laser beam impinging on the film in the zone to be marked, where in a first stage etching is carried out using a laser beam with a rate of displacement of 1-200 (10-50) cm/second and a power of 100 milliwatt - 20 (1-10) watt at the surface of the film, the ratio V/P between the rate of displacement in cm/second and the power at the level of the film in watts being 2-10 cm/second watt, and in a second stage the etched film is subjected to a finishing treatment to render the laser-etched zones of the subtitle transparent, using a jet of moist air.

La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé de sous-titrage de films cinématographiques, selon lequel on grave des éléments graphiques ou des textes sur un film cinématographique du type polyester ou autre à l'aide d'un faisceau laser parcourant sur le film la zone à marquer et selon lequel, dans une première étape, on procède à une opération de gravure au laser grâce à l'application d'un faisceau laser dont la vitesse de déplacement au niveau du film est comprise entre 1 cm/s et 200 cm/s et la puissance au niveau du film est comprise entre 100 milliwatt et 20 watt, le rapport V/P entre la vitesse de déplacement exprimée en cm/s et la puissance au niveau du film exprimée en watt étant compris entre 2 et 10 cm/s watt, et dans une deuxième étape, on soumet le film gravé à un traitement de finition des zones qui ont été gravées par le faisceau laser, laissant apparaître des sous-titres transparents, caractérisé en ce que le traitement de finition est réalisé en utilisant un jet d'air humide. <IMAGE>
