Abstract (en)
[origin: DE19847417A1] Top hat furnace comprises a arbor (6) perpendicular to the annealing understructure (1). The understructure including the annealing head (10) and the metal coil (7) can be tilted by 90o between a vertical and a horizontal position. The annealing hood can be placed horizontally on the understructure and removed from it. The annealing hood and the cooling hood have devices arranged laterally for opening and closing producing an opening through the annealing head. The two hoods in the vertical position can be moved horizontally with respect to the annealing head.
