[origin: GB2331787A] A pivoted jaw clamping arrangement in which the clamping force which holds objects within the jaws is generated after the manufacture of the jaw elements either by the application of separate means to effect jaw bias (eg bias element 36, fig. 15) or from the adjustment, and joining together, of jaw elements after manufacture (eg. interconnection of 70C, 71C in fig. 25A). In one variant the clamping means is double-ended (eg. figs. 15, 25A), and in another it is single-ended (eg. fig. 41 B).
