Abstract (en)
A foldable cross-piece for frames of dismountable furniture consists of a bar (1) carrying a pin (2) on which there is pivoted a bracket (3), substantially S-shaped with two parallel ends (3a), which in turn carries at its ends a pair of semi-bars (4) complanate with the bar (1) and mounted on the bracket (3) so as to be able to take a position parallel to the bar (1) when the cross-piece is closed. This results in a plane cross-piece which achieves the maximum reduction of bulkiness regardless of the presence or arrangement of the transverse beams and of the length of the bars making up the cross-piece, and further allows to obtain perfectly symmetrical supporting frames with positive effects of aesthetical and structural nature. <IMAGE> <IMAGE>
