Abstract (en)
The toilet (10) has a basin (11) secured to a base (12), a seat (14) and a back rest (15) and is connected to a drain. The b rest can swivel about a vertical axis (V) with respect to the basin, and can be locked in different swivel positions. The back r can preferably swivel in both directions through 75 degrees . The back rest is connected by a support plate (21) to a rotatable bearing ring (19) of a rotation bearing (20).

Eine Sanitärvorrichtung, insbesondere für öffentliche Zwecke, besitzt ein am Boden befestigtes Toilettenbecken, das auf seiner Oberseite einen Sitz mit einer Brille und einer Rückenlehne aufweist und an einen Abfluß angeschlossen ist. Um auch in eng begrenzten Räumen insbesondere Rollstuhlfahrern ausreichenden Bewegungsraum zu bieten, ist die Rückenlehne relativ zum Toilettenbecken um eine im wesentlichen vertikale Achse schwenkbar. Dabei kann die Brille des Sitzes fest am Toilettenbecken montiert oder zusammen mit der Rückenlehne schwenkbar sein.
