[origin: EP1040783A2] The toilet (10) has a basin (11) secured to a base (12), a seat (14) and a back rest (15) and is connected to a drain. The b rest can swivel about a vertical axis (V) with respect to the basin, and can be locked in different swivel positions. The back r can preferably swivel in both directions through 75 degrees . The back rest is connected by a support plate (21) to a rotatable bearing ring (19) of a rotation bearing (20).
