Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1040811A2] The crutch, for use by the disabled, has a loading force meter at the foot of the crutch, connected electrically through the crutch shaft to an indicator at the handgrip. The indicator also has a signal generator to give a signal if the force on the foo deviates from an adjustable nominal value by a given amount. The indicator gives a visual display and an acoustic signal. The me at the crutch foot is a pressure socket to register the weight applied.
