Abstract (en)

[origin: DE19757400A1] The invention relates to a cabinet with drawers comprising a plurality of drawers (2, 2', 2") which can be horizontally displaced and which are arranged in a stacked manner. The cabinet is provided for accommodating office supplies, tools, kitchen appliances or the like. Carrier rails (3) which are arranged on both sides in the direction of displacement and which interact with carrier or guide rollers (4) are assigned to the drawers. In order to guarantee an especially good overview of the drawer contents, i.e. to guarantee a very practical handling, a laterally projecting carrier rail (3) is respectively fastened to the drawer on both longitudinal sides thereof. In addition, one of the two carrier rails (3) can be inserted between a plurality of carrier or guide rollers (4) mounted on the first inner wall (5) of the cabinet (1) in a rotational manner around horizontal axes. The other carrier rail (3) can be displaced on at least one carrier or guide roller located on the second inner wall (6) of the cabinet. In addition, end stops (7, 7') or catching devices (8) which interact with said stops are assigned to the carrier rails and to at least the one cabinet wall (5). The catching devices (8) each limit the displacement path of the drawer from a middle position in one or another direction in an optionally multiple manner. The devices can be released for limiting the displacement path and for removing the drawer.
