[origin: WO9934936A1] The invention relates to a sorting device which along a sorting section (5) has delivery stations (6) for containers (7) which receive the sorted articles. A conveyor section (8) extends next to the series of containers on which the empty containers are delivered and the full containers removed. A hand-over device (10) can be displaced above the conveyor section (8) and is fitted with means for automatically changing the containers between the delivery stations (6) and the conveyor section (8). Containers can thus be changed automatically in a compact system which is economical to produce and operate.
