[origin: WO9919213A2] A method for terminating a cable having a central conductor which is overlaid by a concentric insulation layer which is overlaid by a concentric braid which is overlaid by a concentric braid which is overlaid by a concentric jacket to a metal shell and circuit board combination. The metal shell and circuit board will have at least one aperture extending through said metal shell and circuit board. First at least part of the jacket is stripped from the cable. The stripped cable is then inserted through the aperture in the shell and circuit board. The braid is compressed adjacent the aperture and the braid is fixed to the circuit board. The invention also encompasses the product of this method.
