Abstract (en)
[origin: DE19916420C1] Residual fluid is removed from lines and plant by a forcible flow of air and the lines at the same time dried inside. The air is generated by a multi-cell compressor (9) or by means of underpressurizing the compressor in the vessel sludge tank (10). The air is preheated by heat exchanger or auxiliary heater and the fluid is run off to atmosphere or to the sludge tank using a multi-way valve (11) in the air line to stop off the tank. An additional line (12) feeds preheated air to the connected valve (11). An additional multi-way valve close to the four-way valve (4) is built into an additional preheated air line.
