[origin: WO0026469A1] The invention relates to a railway tie for a fixed railroad track, a large tie superstructure or a classical ballast bed superstructure. Said track comprises hump-shaped caps (3, 4) that are arranged adjacent to the rail supports, especially in the form of cast in situ concrete humps. The lateral flanks (9) of these hump-shaped caps facing the rail supports interact with the rails to form catch-grooves (5) for the wheels of the vehicle if these should jump the rails. The surface (6) of said catch grooves is located below the level of the rail tops.
