Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0776765A2] The side wall has a frame (5) extending crossways to the wall plane. The frame has one or more openings for engaging gear wheels of a gearwheel drive train and has a bending or spring-back course between an upper structure area (4b) and a lower structure area (4a) of the side wall. The frame in the lower structure area has recesses (7) accommodating the bed of printing cylinders and is reinforced on the open side of the box-shaped cross-sectional profile by a removable, inner-ribbed cover (8). The cover is screwed to the frame and the cover and frame engage in one another with positive engagement. In the box profile additional supports are provided for increasing the rigidity of the side wall. Ribs or braces are also provided for this purpose. The cover is made of steel or cast iron.
