[origin: DE19801309C1] The invention relates to a method for controlling a device used to remove flat packages whereby the speed at which said packages are removed can be regulated and the packages are fed at a constant speed to driven conveyor belts. The inventive method determines the speed at which the parcel to be removed should be conveyed from the moment it reaches a first sensor for detecting said parcels to a corresponding second sensor in order to reach a desired specified gap. The first sensor is arranged at a point where the average speed at which the parcels are to be removed (1') reaches a given value and the second sensor is arranged at the belt transfer point.
