[origin: WO0024968A1] The invention relates to a joint dowel comprised of the actual, mostly metallic dowel (4) and of a multipart plastic sheath (2). The invention is characterized in that the plastic sheath (2) is comprised of at least two parts whose ends face one another at least essentially in the middle of the longitudinal extension of the joint dowel, and are surrounded in this area by a plastic tube (10) which effects a tensile stress in a peripheral direction. At least two parts of the plastic sheath comprise protruding and returning areas (6, 7) on the outer surface thereof.
