Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1046436A2] Rolled product cooling on a cooling bed, involves initial air cooling, water spray mist cooling and final air drying and coo during transverse transport. A rolled product (2) is cooled on a cooling bed by transporting it transversely to its longitudinal axis (3) while being subjected to air cooling in an initial section (6), water spray mist cooling in a middle section (7) and air drying and air cool in an end section (8). An Independent claim is also included for a cooling bed for carrying out the above process.
