The refuse compression device (1) has a pivoted compression roller (7), which can be moved backwards and forwards within an open refuse container for compression of the contents, mounted on a wheeled platform (2) provided with a steering device. The platform (2) of the refuse compression device (1) has a pair of small rollers (9) at its front corners and a large diameter wheel (12) at its rear, together with a pair of retractable stabilisers (10) on either side of the large diameter wheel.

Eine Vorrichtung zum Verdichten von Müll mit einer Verdichtungswalze (7), die gelenkig gelagert und dazu geeignet ist, in einen oben offenen Container hineinzuragen und in diesem hin- und herbewegt zu werden, wird mit einem Fahrgestell ausgerüstet, wobei dieses insbesondere aus einer Plattform besteht, die im vorderen Bereich Rollen (9) mit einem kleinen Durchmesser und im hinteren Bereich Schwerlasträder (12) mit einem größeren Durchmesser aufweist, so daß die Vorrichtung verfahrbar ist und für eine Vielzahl von Containern, in denen Müll zu verdichten ist, eingesetzt werden kann. <IMAGE>
