Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1046503A1] The arrangement has a fixing device (3) for the edge of the printing plate (1) with the start of the print. The plate has a stamped out aperture at the edge which interacts with a stop (4,5) in the fixing device. A position transducer (8,9) senses the position of the printing plate outside the aperture. When the fixing device is closed the stop undergoes a stroke against the printing plate feed direction by which the plate is slid into the correct index position. The transducer signals the presence of plate's front edge in the fixing region.
