[origin: EP1046595A1] The partially embossed lid (1), for a food container has a smooth area (3) which is separated from the embossed area (2) by line of weakness (4). Both areas are fastened to the top of the container and a line of perforations (6,6'), which is less secur over the embossed area, allows the lid to be torn off.
