[origin: EP1046757A1] The system has a water drain unit in a bathroom floor (20) and connected to a drain pipe (2). The drain unit has a drain cup element (1) connected to the pipe, and a drain cup holder (8) fitted into the element. The unit also has a bathtub adapter, surrounded by an adapter seal ring element, and fitted sealed into the holder. The adapter contains a pipe seal with a fitted connection pipe element connected to the bath. For a shower unit (20) flush with the floor, the drain unit also has a plug element (6) in the holder, and a drain funnel element (7) with a funnel ring seal in the holder. The funnel element is freely suspended above its base (6.1) in the plug element.
