A crankshaft (1) for a four-cylinder piston-driven internal combustion engine is run on crankshaft bearings (2) in eccentric rings (3) run on bearings set in appropriate supporting bearing cases (4) in an engine block. Pistons (6.1-6.4) are connected to crankshaft by con-rods (5).
