[origin: WO9935940A1] The leaning or sitting device substantially comprises a mattress (3), a lath spring (1/2) and elastic transverse supports. A mattress cover surrounds the mattress (3) while the lath spring (1/2) consists of a lath spring sheet (1) with fixing means and a plurality of laths (2). In order to form a mattress/lath spring unit which is easy to use and can be easily disassembled in terms of components, longitudinal central connecting parts (14, 44), i.e. parts of zippers which can be fully separated, are provided on the mattress cover (4) and the lath spring sheet (1). Said connecting parts cooperate with each other and extend preferably along the entire length of the leaning device. When the longitudinal central connecting parts of the mattress cover (4) and the lath spring sheet (1) are connected, the mattress (3) positioned in the mattress cover (4) and the lath spring (1/2) form an easy to use mattress/lath spring unit that is substantially surrounded by the sheet (mattress cover and lath spring sheet) and on which transverse supports sheets can also be sawn.
