[origin: WO9906790A1] The invention relates to a device for determining the girth of a finger, designed so as to enable smooth and accurate measuring, said device being provided with a loop-shaped tape segment with a noose, made of a material which is flexible but virtually non expandable when pulled. The loop (2) is so big as to allow the finger to be inserted through it prior to the loop being tightened around the finger. The tape length by which the loop is drawn can be measured by means of a caliper (15, 16) on the tape and an electrical display device (18) connected with said caliper.
