Abstract (en)
The document (1) has at least one security fibre (2), which is connected to adjoining areas of the document and has at least further security characteristic. The further characteristic can not be detected if the document is intact, but can be detected i the connection between the security fibre and the document is destroyed. Preferably, the fibre is embedded in a paper layer of t document or is stuck onto the paper layer. An Independent claim is included for a method for testing the authenticity of the security document.

Beschrieben wird ein flächiges Sicherheitsdokument (1) mit zumindest einem Sicherheitsfaden (2), der mit angrenzenden Bereichen des Sicherheitsdokuments (1) verbunden ist, und mit zumindest einem weiteren dem Sicherheitsfaden (2) zugeordneten Sicherheitsmerkmal. Das Sicherheitsdokument ist so eingerichtet, daß das weitere Sicherheitsmerkmal nicht überprüfbar ist, wenn das Sicherheitsdokument (1) intakt ist, und überprüfbar gemacht werden kann, indem man den Verbund des Sicherheitsfadens (2) mit den angrenzenden Bereichen des intakten Sicherheitsdokuments (1) zerstört. <IMAGE>
