Abstract (en)
Glass fiber yarn production, using an air cushion for cushioning raised drawn threads during deflection from a drawing surfa is new. A multiple glass fiber strand is produced by drawing out parallel adjacent glass threads using a rotating drawing surface, raising and deflecting the threads from the drawing surface after a predetermined dwell time, bundling the raised threads transv to the rotational direction of the drawing surface and drawing in a direction parallel to the drawing surface radial direction, air cushion being formed for cushioning the threads during deflection. An Independent claim is also included for apparatus for multiple glass fiber strand production, comprising a guide (9) with funnel-like structure (12) and a deflection section (10) with a diversion space.

Es wird ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum Herstellen eines strangartigen Verbundes (2) aus Glasfasern (4) angegeben, bei denen mit Hilfe einer rotierenden Ziehfläche (6) parallel nebeneinanderliegende Glasfäden (4) ausgezogen werden, die nach einer vorbestimmten Verweilzeit von der Ziehfläche (5) mit Hilfe einer Abhebeeinrichtung (8) abgehoben werden. An die Abhebeeinrichtung (8) schließt sich eine Leiteinrichtung (9) an, in der die Fäden umgelenkt werden. Hierbei möchte man ein kettfähiges Garn mit einer höheren Festigkeit als Stapelfasergarn herstellen können. Dazu ist die Leiteinrichtung (9) nach vorne gerichtet und weist zumindest abschnittsweise einen trichterartigen Aufbau auf, um die Glasfäden (4) nach dem Abheben quer zur Umlaufrichtung der Ziehfläche (6) zusammenzufassen. <IMAGE>
