[origin: WO0030508A1] The invention concerns a device (1) for extracting mussels from their shells, eating them with the accompanying sauce as a substitute for traditional eating implements. The tongs system (1) also prevents burning or dirtying the user's fingers. The mussel tongs (1) are characterised by a mussel-shaped body consisting or two shells bound, at one of their ends, by a hinge (2) with spring effect.
