[origin: DE19733796A1] The invention relates to a hand controlled motor driven oscillating device with an oblong housing consisting of a grip section (22) and an oscillating head section (3). In the inventive device it is essential that the grip section (3) should pivot in relation to the oscillating head section with respect to its angle position thereto. This provides the advantage of enabling the grip section (3) to be oriented from a position parallel to the working surface of the oscillating head section (3) i.e. in relation to the tool attached to the output shaft (18) of the head section, into an angular or perpendicular position (3). This allows the user to work in an accurate, non-tiring and unimpeded manner.
