[origin: DE19855332A1] The invention relates to a method and a device for determining the adhesion and/or the adhesion limit for a tyre of a vehicle. The data from the driving dynamics sensors are analysed with a driving dynamics simulation model and the analysis of the data from the roadway sensors takes the tyre characteristics into account, these being adapted to the current tyre behaviour during operation. The information from the roadway sensors is preferably analysed using a bound method in order to isolate the state of the roadway.
